It has been cold of late. Not ice and snow cold, I live in Victoria after all, the most temperate city in Canada, but that wet-west-coast cold that is chilly right down to your bones. The cold was my inspiration for this week’s design. I just want to be wrapped up in a big, warm, tartan blanket.
The polish colours I used for this are as follows:
- TARTAN NAILS: Color Club Wild Cactus, Sally Hanson Blue Bloom , Colour Club Look Book, Zoya Creamy
- BLUE NAILS: Sally Hansen Blue Bloom over an opaque coat of Essie Bobbing for Baubles
My apologies for the quality of the photos this week. I like to take my nail photos with natural light and no flash. I had to artificially bump up the exposure on these ones because there was just no natural light to work with this week. I was too lazy to pull out my tripod so I was doing hand-held at a shutter speed of 30, hence the poor focus on some of them!
I found the primary colours of these nails hard to match my outfits too, so mid-way through the week I took of the tartan nails and made them all blue. I don’t usually do blue nails but the Blue Bloom over Bobbing for Baubles had great depth and sparkle and looks fabulous in the sun (when it comes out from behind the clouds).
Thanks for stopping by!
