This week’s design was inspired by some nail stickers that I saw online. I like being able to recreate stickers or nail foils using polish and this design is actually quite easy. Here’s how I did it.
I began with two coats of Crabtree & Evelyn’s Black Cherry polish. As the name indicates, this is a very dark cherry red. Once these layers dried, I used Color Club Cherubic to create a series of linked holographic gold dots diagonally along each nail. I’ve showed these two steps below (hint: if your dots aren’t linked, use tiny dots between them to encourage them to connect).
Once the Cherubic dots had dried I used a smaller dotting tool to put dots of Black Cherry inside each Cherubic dot, making the gold dots look like linked gold rings. Here are some more photos of this easy design (note: If you try this design, it is important to choose two colours that pair cover one another to full opacity with a single layer an don’t bleed through each other.)
Thanks for stopping by!
